This course is an introduction to teaching and learning for instructors new to a post-secondary, adult education context. Learners are discipline specific experts who are or will be transitioning to an instructional role. This course extends themes and topics introduced in the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW, GEN0042); i.e. lesson planning, participatory learning, giving and receiving feedback, instructor professionalism and ethics, and class management. The course is designed to be experiential, peer-based and reflective.  This is the first course in the CAED program and lays the foundation for all other courses.
