Community Learning Centres
Aurora College is changing the way we deliver adult academic upgrading in the Northwest Territories to better suit the needs of our students.
Beginning in September 2025, academic upgrading will be delivered through our three campuses – Thebacha Campus in Fort Smith, Aurora Campus in Inuvik, and Yellowknife North Slave Campus – both in person and online. Upgrading offered by Aurora College will focus on academic pre-requisites for our post-secondary and trades programming. We will no longer be offering literacy-level programming as of June 30, 2025 and will no longer be operating any of the Community Learning Centres as of June 30, 2025.
Aurora College has been committed to providing relevant, quality programming and services to post-secondary and adult upgrading education students in the Northwest Territories for more than 50 years. Aurora College will continue to engage with NWT communities, businesses, Indigenous governments and organizations, governments and agencies to explore new ways to deliver quality programming that meets the current and future needs of the Northern labour market, communities and learners.
