Course description:

This field placement experience provides opportunities for students to expand their understanding of early childhood learning, development and pedagogy into a foundation for professional practice skills with children from birth to six years in early learning settings. Students will observe children’s abilities, interests, ideas, and the environmental context in which these occur to examine, select and implement professional practice skills in program planning and classroom design. Through responsive relationships with children, students will acquire a foundational capacity to demonstrate inclusive and integrative play-based pedagogical skills through practice and documentation.
