Course description:

Numerous pieces of mineral processing equipment are used in the diamond mining industry. Being able to describe and understand the different pieces of equipment and their relationship with each other, allows the student to troubleshoot equipment problems and facilitates appropriate communication about the equipment with other work team members. This course will describe bins, chutes, conveyors, crushers, cyclones, drive mechanisms, feeders, pumps, screens, tanks, magnets, valves and other available equipment.
