This course introduces students to the foundational concepts of the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) field, diversity of programs and services, and attitudes and responsibilities of the Early Childhood Educator. The legal, political, economic and social contexts of ELCC are examined as well as a variety of theoretical and practical programs and learning concepts for young children, educators and families.
