In this course, students focus on the promotion of community and societal health, and advance their understanding of foundational community health theories, principles and frameworks. Students describe the diverse roles, functions and settings of community health nursing. Community development and capacity building, as health promoting practices are explored with social justice and health equity lenses. Students integrate relational, transformative, and emancipatory approaches in the context of community and society as client.
