Course description:

This field placement experience provides opportunities for students to expand their understanding of early childhood learning, development and pedagogy into a foundation for professional practice skills with children aged birth to twelve years in early learning settings. Students will observe children’s abilities, interests and ideas and the environmental context in which these occur in order to examine, select and implement professional practice skills in the area of program planning and classroom design. Through responsive relationships with children, students will acquire a foundational capacity to demonstrate inclusive and integrative play-based pedagogical skills through practice and documentation.
