Course description:
This course will review financial theories and their practical applications to corporate and investment markets. This will assist students in understanding financial analysis and decision-making. The time value of money, interest rates, the working cost of capital and the trade-off between risk and return will be discussed. This will lead to an examination of the evaluation of capital markets through net present value analysis, capital budgeting techniques, asset valuations, derivative markets, and short-term and long-term financial planning.
