Course description:
This course will examine the Canadian legal system and certain legal concepts as they relate to business. The emphasis throughout the course will be on helping students learn to apply the law and make informed decisions when they are managing their business affairs. Legal topics will include the Canadian constitution, the judicial system and the resolution of disputes, tort law, contract law, the legal structure of businesses, employment law, property law, and the law relating to commercial transactions.
