Course description:

This course provides supported opportunities for students to broaden and deepen their integration of theory with professional practice in early learning settings. Students will observe and analyze children’s abilities, interests and ideas in order to reflect on the professional practice skills used in the areas of child development, early childhood pedagogy, and professionalism. A special focus will be placed on how to guide children through the day with minimal support as they plan, implement and evaluate play-based experiences and environments that facilitate learning. A special focus will be placed on the planning and implementation of experiences that promote Indigenous cultures, languages, and traditions.
