Course description:

This course provides supported opportunities for students to integrate theory into practice as they observe and guide children in early learning settings. Students will observe and analyze children’s abilities, interests and ideas to reflect on the professional practice skills used in child development, early childhood pedagogy, and professionalism. They will establish responsive relationships with children through program participation. In addition, they will explore and practice the principles of observation and assessment as it pertains to early learning pedagogy and inclusive, play-based early learning curriculum approaches with individual children and groups of children.
