Course description:

This course is designed to build the learner’s knowledge of mathematics at the intermediate (i.e. grade 10 equivalency) level. The ALBE Math 140 curriculum incorporates seven interrelated mathematical processes: communication, connections, mental mathematics and estimation, problem-solving, reasoning, technology, and visualization. Topics of study include measurement; number patterns in tables, relations, and functions; line segments and linear functions; trigonometry and transformations; and statistical data analysis. Upon completion of this course, students may choose to continue their studies in ALBE Math 145.
