Course description:

English 11 (ENGL 0026) is a course designed for students to develop proficiencies in reading comprehension, writing effectiveness, and oral communication. The course empowers students to reflect on their personal growth, applying logical reasoning and critical thinking skills to analyze and interpret various perspectives and narratives.  The course provides opportunities for students to, with increasing independence, study, create, and write original and authentic pieces for a range of purposes and real-world audiences. Learners will refine their skills in planning, drafting, and editing processes by learning how to cite sources, assess the credibility of evidence, and evaluate the quality and reliability of sources.  Upon successful completion, students may opt to advance to ALBE English 150.
